Elaine Low 鈥07 Joins Variety as Senior TV Writer

Business Journalist Elaine Low 鈥07 has been hired by Variety as a senior TV writer. In her new role, Elaine will handle breaking-news stories on all aspects of the television industry, from the executive suite to programming.
She comes to Variety from Investor鈥檚 Business Daily, where she was a news reporter and producer. At Investor鈥檚 Business Daily, Elaine covered the retail and media sectors, as well as personal finance. She contributed breaking-news coverage and front-page print features on topics ranging from the emergence of new streaming entertainment platforms to the gender-wealth gap to the e-commerce retail race.
Elaine also co-hosted IBD鈥檚 鈥淢arket Update鈥 and 鈥淗ow to Invest鈥 video series, and has made guest appearances on Cheddar鈥檚 鈥淥pening Bell鈥 program. Additionally, she has moderated entrepreneurship panels at the 2018 United State of Women Summit and at local women鈥檚 entrepreneur events in Los Angeles.
