Arthur Wieckiewicz ’15 has been named . He is a social studies teacher at Fenwick High School.



WGN notes that Arthur is “a suburban high school teacher engaging his students with history and connections to the present day in turbulent times, supporting students in learning about history both in America and across the world.”



Arthur said his classroom approach is based on two things: treating students with respect and helping them connect the past and the present. He also coaches the school’s e-sports and debate teams.



Arthur has worked at Fenwick for five years. He said the biggest reward is seeing his impact on students.



“That really makes me feel like I’m doing a good job. Like I’m doing good work. Doing something fulfilling,” Arthur said.
