School, Community & Higher Education Leadership Non-Licensure Track
This track is ideal for professionals seeking advanced leadership roles across schools, community organizations and higher education. It focuses on systems leadership, research and organizational change.
Track Overview
- Courses offered in flexible formats, including fully online, hybrid, and in-person
- Three-year program
- 60 credit hours total
- Up to 24 credit hours can be transferred from a master's degree

Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must meet all the following foundational requirements:
ISBE Principal Endorsement (PK-22) Licensure Track
This track is designed for busy educators who seek to earn the Illinois State Board of Education Principal Endorsement, which prepares leaders for principal and other school administrative roles.
Track Overview
- Courses offered in flexible formats, including fully online, hybrid, and in-person
- Three-year program
- 72 credit hours total
- Up to 24 credit hours can be transferred from a master's degree
- 48 credits must be completed at 糖心官网
EdD in Educational Leadership Program Admission Requirements
- A master鈥檚 degree in an education-related field, including MAEd, MEd, or MAT
- Graduate coursework in Statistics with a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4-point scale)
- Graduate coursework in Curriculum and Instruction with a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4-point scale)
Eligibility for the ISBE Principal Endorsement (PK鈥22) Licensure Track
The following additional requirements must be met:
- Hold an IL Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Be currently working in a PreK鈥12 educational setting
- Meet all Illinois State Board of Education requirements, including four years of teaching or school support personnel experience
The Principal Endorsement will not be issued to out-of-state students or international students who do not hold an IL PEL and/or meet all ISBE requirements for endorsement.
